This drivers father changed their surname (changed an x to an R) and founded a refrigeration company. He purchased a car and with funding from his fathers business made an unsuccessful attempt at F1. While he scored no Championship points, he was awarded a medal for his efforts in a horrific accident. He later died in a plane crash.
