After Imola, The Renault folsk still stated that Kimi was the real threat. Now after the Euro GP; things may have changed a bit. Pat Symonds says;
“It’s hard to say at the moment,” Symonds told autosport.com about where Renault and Ferrari stand in terms of competitiveness.
“Imola was interesting. I thought maybe Ferrari were being flattered a bit by Bridgestone there, and ultimately we had the quicker car even though we lost the race.
“Here (at the Nurburgring), they were very competitive… I’m sure it will switch race to race. But I think they are looking pretty strong.”
There is no doubt that rubber has a role to play but a 2nd race lump, terrific strategy and teamwork along with incredible driving just might have something to do with it as well. I think Pay is right; Ferrari just may be back.
