The Collection Auto Group, Castrol to sponsor Bryan Herta Autosport

The Collection Auto Group, Ohio’s largest dealer of luxury vehicles will join Castrol as sponsors of #98 Bryan Herta Autosport entry for the 2014 IndyCar Series season.

“The Collection Auto Group’s focus on speed and customer service blends perfectly with the speed and technology of Indycar,” said Bryan Herta in a team statement. “The CAG is a flagship partner under our new Castrol sponsorship, and I’m personally very pleased to welcome them to the team and sport.”

The CAG will also partner with Castrol providing Castrol products at all of their dealers and service centers in Northeastern Ohio.

“Because The Collection Auto Group is committed to delivering high performance service every day, it makes sense to join forces with two of the most respected leaders in the automotive world,” said Bernie Moreno, president of CAG. “Our partnership with the 2011 Indy 500 champions, Bryan Herta Autosport, and Castrol will help The CAG win on the track and on the street.”

A driver for the team is still yet to be announced, but in last weeks Leaders Circle announcement, BHA did make the cut to get the Leaders Circle money. With the money for the Leaders Circle, it could change who they will put behind the wheel of the car.

The team tested Indy Lights standout Jack Hawksworth at Sebring earlier this month, but nothing has been formally announced yet. NBC Sports’ Tony DiZinno initially reported back in November that Luca Filippi, who ran for the team in the last third of the season was close to a deal, but the team has made no announcement on him either. Although some of his Tweets in January hinted that he was connected with the team still.

His fitness card here says BHA on it, make of that what you will.
