Can you believe we’re nearly at the end of 2013 already? But before we bid farewell to the year, we have a couple of driver signings to discuss, as well as a trophy for most number of poles in a season from 2014… Here’s what’s coming up on the final #F1Chat of 2013…
First up this week – the news that Sergio Perez is joining Nico Hulkenberg at Force India in 2014 – thoughts on this news? Is this a good driver pairing?
Adrian Sutil departs Force India for Sauber – what do you make of this news? Do you think Sauber have made the right choice? Who do you think will be joining him at the team next season? Will Esteban Gutierrez get another shot, or will he be replaced and if so by whom?
There are now only four seats left to fill for 2014, Sauber’s second seat being one of them. For the remaining seats who do you think will fill them? Who will complete the line up at Marussia? Who do you think will be racing for Caterham next year?
Is this it now for Paul di Resta? If so, what is next for him?
Sky Sports reported on Friday that the FIA have announced that a trophy will be introduced from 2014 that will be awarded to the driver who has the most pole positions in a season – thoughts on this?
The FIA have also announced they’re looking for would-be F1 teams to join the sport in 2015 or 2016 – what are your thoughts on this? Do you think Formula One needs anymore teams?
Ross Brawn has said he’s excited by 2014’s extreme rule changes – they’re as big an opportunity as the 1994 and 2009 seasons (when his teams stole the show). What do you make of these comments? Could this be a hint as to how the season may play out? He added that the Mercedes team have put a lot of effort and resource into the 2014 season.
