Join Grace and me as we discuss the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on Formula 1 and sports in general. We cover the Bahrain GP news and share what we’ve heard over the last few days.
Certainly being safe is important but we try to look at both sides of the coin without picking winners or losers.
1. I haven’t heard anything regarding MotoGP at CotA. That aside, I think the entire planet should go under quarantine for two weeks. During and after this time, doctors and other medical personnel should test the entire population for the Coronavirus. Those who test positive should be further isolated and treated….
….but that’s just me.
2. Danny’s outfit looks like something I wore to church when I was a 4-year-old toddler and they took a picture of me sitting on the ground.
So your solution would be to stop the world economy and all the infra structure for two weeks?
So I read an article in today’s paper that the biggest threat of the Coronavirus is the hysteria surrounding it. If China had not detected it was a NEW virus, it would just have swept around the world as a cold and everything would be what it is.
Fact of life: the sick and weak will die of the flu always, this is because you must die of something.
I guess Bernie should stay home.
The media are playing a very dangerous game for headlines in order to gain audience and also drag political talking points. According to CDC, the flu has killed 20,000 americans (136 children) so far this year. No one is talking about that. Creating chaos is unbecoming and if the media were trying to save their institutions, I would think they would start here.
With McLaren now withdrawing from the Australian GP, can the race go ahead. Didn’t Ross Brawn state that if any team couldn’t race then the event wouldn’t be part of the world championship?
