Scuderia Toro Rosso has extended their engine supplier contract with Ferrari.While Force India is considering their options due to the cost of KERS and Honda’s ability to package an engine an KERS together, STR feels the 17 points they have garnered this year is in large part due to Ferrari’s shove in the back end. I think this is a great move by Berger and the team to keep a solid engine behind a car that is effectively getting its aero develpment second-hand from the much acclaimed architect of aero, Adrian Newey.
This should bode well for STR to stay competitive, current and relevant on the grid for 2009. As for Force India? I am not so sure. Time will tell.
