What do you do when Paul is away racing and it’s the British Grand Prix? You have James Burke join you because he’s not only a professional race car driver but he grew up at Silverstone! Join James and me as we review each team and driver as they finished.
The discussion after the race seemed to suggest that debris was causing small cuts in the tyres. I think that Christian Horner said that Max’s tyres had 15 small cuts in them. However, take this with a pinch of salt as he was also using it as an excuse for not getting the win.
Yeah, just read Pirelli’s take on the issue and they said it was down to long duty cycle on the tires and increased pace of the 2020 cars. No debris.
Great show as always.
I am very worried that Gene might pull the plug instead of going through another year with this car. I do nee d a sound clip for Ferrari although I read a review where a person said he hates our sound clips. :( Grumpy listener.
I remember from Drive to Survive, Gene wasn’t very pleased with last year’s performance. Which is why I asked.
You can’t please everyone (although it would be nice). Franks’s scream always gives me a chuckle.
I’ve been a Haas fan since they entered. Last year was such a dump year that they needed a rebound. This year they, unfortunately, have a Ferrari engine and parts supply (mostly engine). Since teams are now basically writing off development in favour of 2022 rule changes, it’ll be a tough go unless they switch to Mercedes supplier, or Ferrari figure out their engine.
Mercedes is supplying the max allowed, so Haas would need to switch to Honda or Renault.
Either of them would actually be a good option, Honda have showed this year and last that it’s a good PU, and while everyone complains about the Renault PU, I actually think it’s come on song very nicely, it’s just their chassis that sucks.
