Qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix was a very wet affair and that can sometimes upset the regular running order when there’s rain. In fact, it very much did upset the typical running order or at least partially.
Max Verstappen took pole in wet but changing conditions which had most of the cars running for most of the sessions. It was Fernando Alonso in his Alpine finishing P2 that had the crowd on their feet and with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc starting from the back, Lewis Hamilton was able to qualify a respectable 4th.

We keep hearing “same rules for everyone” but that doesn’t mean the rules are any damn good for racing… Engine change back of grid? Why even show up?
Great to see Fernando back up there. Hopefully he can show Max a good time.
