A red flag rash developed during qualifying with five of them flown creating a stuttering session with come-and-go rain showers. Max Verstappen, who looked behind the Ferraris during FP1, managed to recover in the wet to take pole for the weekend.
As a reminder, the Sprint race on Saturday will set the starting grid for Sunday’s race but pole position belongs to Max.
