There are two sides to this story, but one thing is for sure, EJ Viso will not be racing this weekend at Auto Club Speedway. A report by RACER says that he is sick and alludes to the fact that last year Viso was shaky about running at the track after a test here a month ago. He was also uneasy about running here last year.
However, another report from a Venezuelan newspaper says that Viso is affected by nonpayment of a sponsor.
Andretti Autosport Firestone Indy Lights standout Carlos Munoz is being fitted for a seat and will run the race. In Munoz’s only IndyCar start on an oval at the Indianapolis 500, he was competitive all day long and finished 2nd to Tony Kanaan.
