Red Bull driver Mark Webber has told reporters that the KERS program in F1 is a mess. He suggests that teams will bin it and wait for next years standard unit. This weekend there were only three cars running the system as Ferrari and Renault removed their KERS units for the weekend.
“It’s turned into a bit of a mess hasn’t it, the whole KERS thing,”. Would fans mind if F1 walked away from KERS? “No one would kick up a stink, I don’t think. Some of the teams might, but you’ve got a common unit next year anyway, so it’s not like anyone’s developing it for next year,”
