Witch-hunt Continues?

Martin Brundle says the spy-gate will most likely drag into 2008. Point in case is that Martin is very plugged in to the industry and his comments about board-level decisions, sponsors squirming etc seem to echo our assertions that pressure will ultimately determine whether Ron stays or goes. My hunch is still that he goes or takes McLaren to a much lower level of funding, expense and resources.

It would be interesting to know who really is runnning the show at McClaren, Dennis or Whitmarsh. Was this just a case of Ron stepping up and “Protecting” his chosen one to run McClaren because Martin really caused all these issues? We will never know I guess.

I think your right we will never really know. I think Ron is going to leave F1 in a very negative light, whenever he does leave. Which might lead to a little less Lewis favortism.

Martin may have been involved or not but he was also not running around telling everyone who would listen that he has integrity, the team did nothing wrong and whistle-blowers are a good thing in F1. It’s time for Martin to rise to the position and take McLaren back to their previous glory. Sorry Ron. CEO’s leave when scandal is rampant, not the whole team.

I can’t understand why Ron The Great is being asked to leave McLaren…. after all he did a brilliant job leading the team to a double world championship, managing a 2x WDC champion to reach the glory and sending the best rookie ever seen to the path of a multi year wdc now he has fully reach top level understanding the team, the car and it’s development. This will be crucial next year, once Alonso has retired after his third WDC (as he previously had announced……) As result of his brilliant management Ron Dennis and recent World Constructor Championship Vodafone… Read more »

i don’t know, but i don’t see ron leaving. i think things are starting to chill out in the espionage battle. people know this crap happens, and now everyone will just be more careful about it . ferrari say they are still pursuing criminal proceedings, but i don’t see them going all the way thru with it. the macca apology was a big to do politically and ferrari needn’t twist the sword in anymore. i think next season will be all back to business. but this off season will go down in history though, and what ron did or did… Read more »
