It an interesting turn of events, Sebastien Loeb didn’t wint he Rally Sweden this weekend as those honors fell to teammate Sebastien Ogier. The VW of Ogier’s finished 25 seconds ahead of the Frenchman’s Citroen. Ogier’s win was bolstered by a stage win on Saturday and he held on to manage the pace and take the overall win. Ogier give VW it’s first Rally win in 2013.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels Sebastien Loeb is an otherworldly driver and while Rally is his style, it would be great to see him have a run in a current Formula One car for the fun of it. He did take a spin in an F1 car in 2007 but maybe a Red Bull RB8 for a promotional event would be fun with Sebastian Vettel? Wonder if Seb would like to take a spin in Loeb’s Citroen?
Loeb termed his teammate as ‘unbeatable’ over the weekend signaling that he couldn’t make up the delta between them and settled for second. The field finished as:
