With the row over the Lotus name only heating up further, it seems unfair to allow all of our focus be solely on legacy of Colin Chapman.
Surely there are other historic F1 icons — team names, color schemes, logos, etc. — you never want to see returned to the sport, whether out of respect, abhorrence or other equally strong emotion.
For instance, would you want Bruno using his uncle’s logo? How would you feel if someone decided that Jim Clark Enterprises was the right tool with which to purchase HRT?
Are there ones out there that you think would cause the same trouble as “Team Lotus”?
You get the drift. Think of it as sort of the opposite of your Christmas wish coming true.
