Simon Baskett writes a column at Autosport regarding Spains struggle with racial and xenophobic cultural issues.
While I think the article is a tad heavy handed at times, perhaps it can serve as a reminder of the emotionally charged issue. It appears Simon takes a few swipes at Spain and dredges up history with suppositions that Spain lost the Olympic bid in 2012 because of their rampant racist issue and the attempt to sweep things under the rug. Ultimately is this insight or a bully pulpit for a journalist to launch into a diatribe best suited for the editorial page?
