Some eight races since his last win, Nico Rosberg finally found a way to finish ahead of his Mercedes teammate, closing many a gap as we head towards the final round of the season In Abu Dhabi. But, before we celebrate the end of the 2014 season, we must first celebrate the latest F1B Staff World Champion.
With a forty point lead which cannot be closed with the twenty-seven points available in the final race (no double points carnival tomfoolery here at F1B, thank you very much), Johnpierre has taken the title in his very first attempt! Along with Todd and Tony, J.P. picked up nine points for Rosberg’s victory.
While 2nd place staffer Mark was only able to manage three points via Massa’s third place. But although the top rung of the ladder is now firmly secured, the battle for 2nd rages on. Todd and Tony not only correctly chose the winner, but LewHam for 2nd, as well. Those fifteen points were enough to move Tony up from 6th back to 3rd, just two ticks out of 2nd. Todd, meanwhile, picked up an additional two points for Vettel in 5th, helping him leap from a tie with Tom in 7th up to sole possession of 5th. Six staffers are now separated by just ten points, while eight are still in with a shout of 2nd spot!
