Just a couple of more days until we find out if the powers that be at Mercedes were able to get through to their two star drivers following their coming together at Spa. Will the fireworks and carbon fiber fly again at Monza or will the regular Merc 1-2 juggernaut return to it’s usual place at the sharp end of the F1 finishing order? Ten of eleven F1B staffers seem to think so, with Hamilton getting seven picks for the win against Rosberg’s two.
The lone dissenter this week is Paul, our resident driving instructor, who is choosing young Bottas to take his first GP victory. It does, however, appear that Dave does in fact see a possible coming together up at the front with Rosberg getting the worst of it and becoming the Italian GP’s First Out. Maldonado seems to be back on form with four picks to exit earliest, while teammate Grosjean and JEV get two nods apiece. With lots of great sparring going on up and down the standings here at F1B, surely the eyes of the world will be on us this weekend!
