With just a week to go until Christmas, F1 news is slowly winding down. Here’s what’s coming up on the last #F1Chat of 2012 this evening…

We’ll start with the news that Norbert Haug has parted ways with Mercedes. What are your thoughts on this news and that Niki Lauda’s appointment with the team had “absolutely nothing to do with it”? Schumacher said: “him leaving will tear a massive hole in both our sport and our team.” – thoughts on this?

Sam Michael said last week that he hopes Pirelli doesn’t go too conservative in its 2013 tyre selection as he reckons it would hurt the show. What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree with him? Pirelli will be altering their compounds for next year to make things easier for the teams. What did you think about this year’s Pirelli tyres?

Marussia have said they aim to catch the midfield teams in 2013. What are your thoughts on this statement? Do you think they can do it, or will Caterham be the first to score?

Last week Adrian Newey said that stable regulations will mean that 2013 is even tighter than 2012. Do you agree – and do you think we will see more than eight winners next season?

Join us at the usual time of 4pm Eastern US, 9pm UK for the final #F1Chat of the year. We will be back on the 7th January to look ahead to the 2013 season.
