With the first European round of the 2014 F1 season done, and another win for Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes, here’s what’s coming up on tomorrow’s #F1Chat…
Firstly, what were your thoughts on the Spanish Grand Prix?
Lewis Hamilton claimed his fourth straight victory of the season, and took the lead of the driver’s championship. He later played down the tense radio messages he had with his engineer. What were your thoughts on his race and what happened over the radio? He also said that he needs to find where he is losing time to Nico Rosberg after just about holding him off in the race – thoughts on this? What about Rosberg’s race? He said after the race that if he had had one more lap he would have been able to beat his teammate – do you think he would have done? It’s shaping up to be a straight fight between the Mercedes drivers unless anyone else can catch them – what do you make of their dominating start to the year – are you enjoying it?
Daniel Ricciardo finished 48 seconds adrift of the Mercedes pair, and was followed home by teammate Sebastian Vettel in fourth. Vettel started 15th after a gearbox penalty. What did you think about Vettel’s drive through the field? He is confident Red Bull will be able to fight for victories – do you expect to see him back on the top step of the podium? What about Ricciardo – what did you think of his race?
Jenson Button said after the race that McLaren are being hurt by Kevin Magnussen’s inexperience and the team have failed to score a single point for three races – what do you make of what he said?
Fernando Alonso denied that he would want to make a move to Mercedes following Ferrari’s difficult start to the season and instead insisted that the team will be able to challenge Mercedes this year – thoughts on this? And what did you think of Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen’s races?
Who was your driver of the day? Overtake of the race?
Finally, there have been rumours that Ferrari have approached Adrian Newey – what are your thoughts on this? Do you see Adrian Newey moving to Ferrari?
