#F1Chat Preview – the Abu Dhabi GP

Fuel drama, scraps on track, and a win for Kimi. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was eventful and has left us with plenty to talk about during tomorrow’s #F1Chat, so here’s what’s coming up…

We’ll start by talking about Sebastian Vettel and Saturday’s fuel drama. What were your thoughts on the penalty, and more importantly, the time it took the stewards to deliver the penalty? Red Bull changed parts on the car and started from the pitlane. Do you agree with teams being able to do this following a penalty like this? What did you make of Sebastian’s race – he damaged his front wing twice, but finished third. Has Vettel silenced his critics and proved he can drive like a champion?

Lewis Hamilton drove brilliantly all weekend, and it looked like he had the win in the bag before he retired. If he hadn’t suffered mechanical failure, do you think he would have won? Kimi Raikkonen took over from where Hamilton left off and drove superbly to take his first win since his return to F1. What did you think of Kimi’s race? What about his radio messages?

Mark Webber didn’t have a very good race, losing out at the start and later coming together with both Pastor Maldonado and Felipe Massa, before getting caught up in a tussle between Paul di Resta, Sergio Perez and Romain Grosjean, where contact with the latter two saw Webber crash out of the race. What did you think of the incidents with Maldonado and Massa – the stewards took no further action – was that the right decision? Perez received a 10 second stop and go penalty for causing a coming together with Grosjean and Webber. Was this penalty fair?

What did you make of Fernando Alonso’s race? He had a great start, quickly up from 6th to 4th and he eventually finished 2nd. Can he still win the title?

Overall, what were your thoughts on the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix? Did you enjoy it? There was plenty going on, from turn 1 until the last lap. Who was your driver of the day? Overtake of the race? Which drivers impressed you this weekend? Finally, what does this mean for the rest of the season – do you think the fight between Alonso and Vettel will go down to the final race in Brazil?

Join us tomorrow at the usual time of 4pm Eastern US, 9pm UK and don’t forget to include the #F1Chat hashtag in your answers.
