#F1Chat Preview – the Japanese GP

As F1 packs up in Japan and heads straight to Korea for next weekend’s Korean Grand Prix, on #F1Chat tomorrow, we’ll be discussing the Japanese Grand Prix, so without further ado, here’s what’s coming up…

We’ll start with the turn one chaos and in particular the contact between Romain Grosjean and Mark Webber. What did you make of the incident? Was it a racing incident, or do you think Grosjean could have done more to avoid it? Did you think Grosjean’s 10 second stop and go penalty was fair? What did you make of what Webber said about the incident – he called him ‘the first lap nutcase’ and said he needs another ‘holiday’ – do you agree? Johnny Herbert also said post-race on Sky that he feels Grosjean should be replaced next season – do you agree? What about the incidents between Alonso and Raikkonen, and Rosberg and Senna, which caused the retirements of the Ferrari and Mercedes drivers?

Vettel dominated the race, converting pole to win, and closing the gap to Alonso to just four points. Can we expect to see Red Bull dominating the rest of the season? Can Ferrari and Alonso claw back? Do you think Vettel is on course for a third consecutive title?

Let’s talk about Felipe Massa and Kamui Kobayashi who both scored great results, finishing on the podium – do you think these results will help them to retain their seats at Ferrari and Sauber, respectively in 2013?

What did you make of McLaren’s race? Lewis Hamilton had a poor qualifying session and struggled in the race – are his title hopes over?

What were your thoughts on the Force India and Williams teams’ races? Hulkenberg finished seventh and Maldonado was back in the points in eighth.

After discussing all of that – who was your driver of the day? Overtake of the race?

Finally, Michael Schumacher announced his second retirement from Formula One on Thursday – was it the news you expected?

Join us tomorrow at 4pm Eastern US, 9pm UK and remember to use the #F1Chat hashtag when answering the questions. We look forward to seeing you then!
