Sebastian Vettel claimed his third win in a row today, and tomorrow on #F1Chat, we’ll be discussing the Korean Grand Prix. So here’s what’s coming up…
So what did you think of the race? Was it as you expected it would be – let’s face it, it wasn’t the best race? We’ll begin by discussing the first lap shenanigans. For once, it didn’t involve Romain Grosjean, instead Kamui Kobayashi made contact with both Nico Rosberg and Jenson Button seeing an early end to their races – what were your thoughts on this incident? Was Kamui’s penalty fair? Rosberg’s stricken Mercedes was left by the side of the track in the DRS zone for several laps under yellow flags – should there have been a delay this long to remove the car?
Lewis Hamilton had another poor race suffering from rear anti-roll bar failure and high tyre degradation and his championship chances have diminished after he finish 10th, just about fighting off Sergio Perez. What were your thoughts on this? During the race, fans speculated incorrectly that McLaren ‘sabotaged’ his race – what are your thoughts on these claims?
Felipe Massa had a great race, finishing fourth just behind teammate Fernando Alonso, who he was faster than for the majority of the race. Rob Smedley told him to slow down and back off – on team orders – and Massa wasn’t able to make an attempt to pass Alonso. Did you agree with this or should Ferrari have allowed him to race? If they had, could he have caught and passed Webber and pushed him back towards Alonso who may have then had the chance to take 2nd?
The Toro Rosso drivers had a great race – what were your thoughts on this? What did you make of Force India’s race?
Tyre wear was high with Vettel suffering towards the end of the race, receiving words of warning from the Red Bull pit wall. It wasn’t the only problem, the drivers had to dodge the astro turf which was coming away from the side of the track. It ended up in Hamilton’s side pod. This shouldn’t have happened – do you think the circuit will receive a lot of criticism for it and overall, what can they do to improve the track?
