Whether your last three months have been mild, blizzard filled and snowed in or wet and blustery, we’ve all had a hard winter. But spring has now sprung and, with it, we finally have the return of our beloved Formula One! And you know, now that I take a look, the flowers look a lot like they did last year. Well, if flowers are staff picks, at least! As with most races last season, Lewis Hamilton is picking up where he left off when it comes to F1B staffer’s affections. Seven of eight are picking the reigning (again) World Champion for the win.
But just as Tony is jumping on the bandwagon in hopes of not finishing at the back of the pack by trying to be all alternative, JP is the only one who has jumped ship in the hopes of Nico taking round one in 2016. By choosing Verstappen for third, Andrew is the only staffer not going with some sort of Hamilton/Rosberg/Vettel podium. Quite possibly the saddest news of the year is that we no longer have Pastor Maldonado to pick on for First Out honors. Luckily, Rio Hryanto has put his hand up for three of us, while fellow rookie Palmer comes next best with two picks to leave the race first. The McLaren duo get a nod each, along with one for Romain Grosjean. Whatever happens, as long as we have a safe race, I’m sure that we’ll all be happy with whatever results come from the Australian Grand Prix!
