FBC Staff Picks: Austrian GP results

There are some races in which almost every F1B staffer scores and there are others in which the points are few and far between. The 2015 Austrian Grand Prix fell strangely in the middle. Though five of us scored points, Paul was the only one to get more than two points by way of correctly choosing Rosberg over Hamilton for the win. Unfortunately, he did choose Vettel to come home second, which limited his points haul to nine. But those nine points were enough to move him into joint first place with Grace.

His cohort at the top once again gave the reverse Kiss of Death to Alonso and, well, maybe she should stop doing that if she truly does love McLaren! The vast majority of the F1B staff feel that, since Kimi actually caused the first lap accident which took out Alonso, Grace can keep her two points for First Out, but will receive a fifty grid spot penalty for the next race. Meanwhile, Tony, J.P. and Tom all picked up two points as well, though by way of Bottas in 5th. Johnpierre’s two points were enough to move him up to sole possession of 4th, while Andrew’s lack of points dropped him one spot to 5th.

Speaking of grid spot penalties – wasn’t it Salzburg where Alonso and Button had to start?
And in Silverstone, how are they going to cope with penalties there, have them start around the Club corner?

Well, it is hard to tell when you have two people going first out at the same time.
Anyway, another two points (I did what Grace did) puts me ahead of Todd..
