FBC Staff Picks: British GP results

Nine rounds into the 2015 Formula One Season and the smart money says to go with a Hamilton-Rosberg-Vettel finishing order on the podium. It hasn’t worked out in every race, but it will get you a quick nineteen points a third of the time. And that’s just what happened for four of eight staffers this weekend.

Todd, Paul, J.P. and Tom all correctly chose the top three, with the boss man coming out best with 23 total points by also choosing Bottas for 5th and Button as First Out. J.P., Paul and Tom each picked up an additional two points, totalling 21 apiece; Paul and Tom via Jenson as First Out and J.P. by way of Bottas in 5th.

Paul’s points haul was enough to move him clear of Grace for sole possession of 1st place in the standings. Grace was able to hold onto second, though, by correctly choosing the Mercedes team’s finishing order. Andrew took home those same fifteen points. Tony got nine for Rosberg and Massa, but the changing conditions in Britain did not work out in either his or Dave’s favor, with the latter being the only staffer to go scoreless this weekend. The Top Four are still separated by ten points as we wait out the three week gap until the next Grand Prix.

4 measly points and I’m just ahead of Tony. Go figure.
