I finally have my photos from Day 1 of qualifying, Pole Day, and Monday practice. There’s no track activity for the next couple of days as the drivers are out across the country engaged in various media and PR duties, but the Indy Lights drivers will come to the Speedway on Thursday for practice and qualifying for the Freedom 100. Friday, Carb Day, will feature the final practice for the Verizon IndyCar Series drivers before the race on Sunday, and the Indy Lights Freedom 100. The Indy Lights race is always an exciting one, and often is more fun to watch than the 500 itself. We’ll be on hand for all of the action, so be sure to check back as John and Tom write their reports, and on Saturday, I’ll have photos from the Indy Lights action.
