Alex Gurney set the pole lap for the #99 at 1:38.270 Followed by the Spirit of Daytona #90 driven by Richard Westbrook during the session.
The Fastest P2 car to qualify was the Muscle Milk Pickett Racing Oreca 03 Nissan entry driven during the session by Lucas Luhr, Qualifying 11th with a 1.39.828.
In PC The pole battle went down to the closing seconds with CORE Autosport’s Colin Braun narrowly claiming the class pole honours from Starworks Motorsport with a time of 1:41.777
In the GT LM Class, Marc Goossens in the SRT Viper GTS-R set class pole at 1.44.506 from Nick Tandy driving the Porsche North America 911 RSR.
GT Daytona , the largest class in the field had Christopher Haase and the Paul Miller racing #48 Audi R8 LMS setting a 1:46.973. The new Porsche GT America’s require further development, with the fastest qualifying 13th in class.
For those of you who listened to F1B Podcast #351 The #23 GTD entry of Team Seattle/ Alex Job Racing driven by Ian James, Mario Farnbacher, Marco Holzer and Alex Riberas qualified 20th in class.
The team had a spin on oil, which resulted in contact during FP1 this morning and spent the remainder of the day repairing the car for qualifying. A good effort from the team to get out on track and qualify respectably in the 28 car GT D field.
