Williams Decide Against Car Launch

Williams F1 Team have decided to save the cash and not have an official car launch this year.

This after McLaren, said to be doing the same, decided to actually have a car launch on January 7th. I can understand saving the money. The teams must spend a small fortune to have a media event for the car and in the end game, it would probably pay a few salaries for the year. Although I am a bit bummed because I was looking forward to seeing the new Williams challenger. Perhaps this is a first step in reducing costs in F1? No car launches.

I am bummed as well, but at the same time understand. Especially from a team like williams that has a smaller budget.

You just posted that in order to get another dig at McLaren.

Looks like the flashy media event that is a car launch is slowly fading away. I can’t wait to see what Renault does… The return of the prodigal son, the great new hope, and hopefully a car that doesn’t suck. Oh right and The Flav’s ego.

Money Money Money…….. *shakes head*

hopefully they’ll make their splash with a great opening to the next season. all the fan fare followed up with no wins or podiums ain’t good. but i would think they’d have some kind of reveal just to get a buzz going. oh well.
